Estacada Library’s computer classes begun in September will continue on Wednesdays in October:
How to Use E-mail and Beginning Microsoft Word.
The classes are from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the schedule is as follows:

October 10: How to Use E-mail (Part 2)

October 24: Beginning Microsoft Word (Part 2)
How to Use E-mail will show how to use such services as Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail. Participants will learn how to create an e-mail account. Also covered: reading and sending email, creating folders, sending attachments, the address book, and Internet e-mail safety. The class will last for two consecutive weeks, the second class continuing the first.
Beginning Microsoft Word will teach participants the basics of Word by showing how to create a letter and/or a simple document with an image. It will cover cutting and pasting, type sizes and styles, inserting photos and images. The class will last for two consecutive weeks, the second class continuing the first.
Prerequisites: The classes are for people who have basic experience using computers. Participants must have an understanding of how to use a mouse, how to type, how to turn on a computer and how to open and close a computer window. Laptop computers will be provided. You can bring your own laptop computer, if preferred. The class is limited to 4.
The weekly one-on-one computer tutorials will continue every Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Need help with some aspect of computer usage? Sign up for a half-hour session with Cathy, our volunteer computer instructor.
