May 19 Report
Library was closed May 19 for taping of the TV show The Librarians. We received payment and staff costs for use of the facilities.
Computer Donation Update
Although initially our contacts at the Estacada School District said our computers would suit their needs it was later determined upon review of the computer specs that memory capability was not adequate. The computers that were to be donated to the district will be recycled through the county’s recycling program.
Library Outdoor Sign
Integrity Signs is scheduled to sign the contract Thursday, May 29 at City Hall and will pick up our 50% deposit check at that time. Dir. Bartel thanked LD Kinnamon for sending a thank-you letter to the Estacada Area Literary Foundation for their donation to pay for the sign.
Dir. Jane Troeh announced her resignation from the Library Board. She is moving outside the district and is no longer eligible to serve.
President and Trustee Comments
Board members expressed thanks and appreciation for Dir. Troeh and her board service.
The Board decided to submit a letter to the Estacada News acknowledging the Literary Foundation and its role in funding the outdoor sign. Dir. Sager will compose it with input from the group.
